[Bug 489734] [NEW] dvdrip package needs to express dependency on ia32libs

2009-11-28 Thread mostrows
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: dvdrip

/usr/bin/dvdrip-splitpipe is an ia32 binary (on my amd64 system).
Unless ia32-libs are installed, this binary will fail to run, meaning
that the process of ripping a DVD will fail. Once I did apt-get
install ia32-libs things worked correctly. ia32-libs should have been
automatically installed on my system when I did apt-get install
dvdrip.

mostr...@ubuntu:~/dvdrip-data$ lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 9.10
Release:9.10
mostr...@ubuntu:~/dvdrip-data$ apt-show-versions dvdrip
dvdrip/karmic uptodate 1:0.98.10-0.2ubuntu2

** Affects: dvdrip (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 78282] Re: vnc4server does not start Desktop environment after security update

2007-04-10 Thread mostrows
Re-verified with vnc4server=4.1.1+xorg1.0.2-0ubuntu4

The core problem seems to be that any gnome apps fail with the error as
below:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gnome-session
The program 'gnome-session' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)'.
  (Details: serial 74 error_code 1 request_code 146 minor_code 2)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
