[Bug 1579415] Re: Ubuntu Software Center does not display third party apps or all installed apps
So, this is not normal and is a bug however, this is not the place to report this bug? "not enough people caring about it." so what you are saying that using this as a package manager is not high on the list of importance. It is just strange that if the fault was with the packages then why are ALL applications listed in Synaptic and MUON? Anyway clearly no one seems that worried that it is currently broken so best to not use it and stick to alternatives No probs... [Bug 1579415] Re: Ubuntu Software Center does not display third party apps or all installed apps
Sebastien.. fair comment... I apologise if I sounded rude, that was not my intent. In my experience with respect to Muon and the old software-center apps like Samba, Krita, etc and all installed application all showed up when searched for. I am confused as to why it is now considered normal that in the new Software-Center not all installed apps should be listed. Is it correct that not all installed apps are now listed, as well as all available applications? Is the new Software-Center no longer considered an application manager but rather just a limited store? If so this is a disappointing move in my opinion, when applications like MUON work as expected. [Bug 1579415] Re: Ubuntu Software Center does not display third party apps or all installed apps
Changed in gnome-software (Ubuntu): importance: Undecided → Low status: Confirmed → Invalid So @Sebastien Bacher (seb128) the old Ubuntu Software Center all applications were shown. However the new Ubuntu Software Center does not index all applications, not even installed applications So are we saying that this is normal? "Update aborted. [Bug 1242210] Re: Failed to install linux kernel
I run it and I get this: It appears you are currently running a mainline kernel. It would be better to report this bug upstream at http://bugzilla.kernel.org/ so that the upstream kernel developers are aware of the issue. If you'd still like to file a bug against the Ubuntu kernel, please boot with an official Ubuntu kernel and re-file. The reason my kernel has changed because I have tried several different kernels. Please send me a link to try a different kernel? I downloaded all kernels I tested from: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ Is this correct? Agree with @stojic (ivstojic) Comment #8 This seems to prevent the error from happening. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1072206 Title: [nvidia] Window content is black To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1072206/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1153821] [NEW] Calendar Events do not appear in Evolution
Public bug reported: I am trying to sync Google Calendar with Evolution email client. I am not able to see any of my calendar events in Evolution, however when in the Gnome Shell, I can see the events listed in the clock calendar. If I add a new event using Thunderbird or on-line, the new events appears in the Clock Calendar, but again does not show up in Evolution. So Evolution is syncing, but the calendar entry does not appear in the calendar. I can add a calendar entry in Evolution, however, the entry does not appear in Evolution, but does update in the on-line Google Calendar. So it is syncing fine, but does not display. In fact no calendar entries are being displayed, even if I add an entry to a Local 'on computer' calendar Any ideas? A known bug in this version? [Bug 1071891] Re: Crash VMware Workstation 9 on Ubuntu 12.10 (Linux 3.5 Kernel)
Patch mentioned above is NOT for VMware 9... The vmware forums do mention this, with reference to Fedora, but NOT Ubuntu 12.10. I think best to downgrade back to an earlier Kernel or back to the poorly put together 12.04... I do not believe there is currently a solution available.. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1071891 Title: Crash VMware Workstation 9 on Ubuntu 12.10 (Linux 3.5 Kernel) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1071891/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
