[Bug 145012] Re: installer hangs retrieving langpacks when network is down

2007-09-29 Thread simontol
Same here with italian langpacks.
I did retry with network enabled and all gone right.
But, this is still a big problem for who don't have the chance to connect to
the internet via LiveCD.
I think to usb modems or other hardware that needs custom drivers or firmware.
Please mark it as High.
thanks

I think it's not working until traslation is complete.
It happened with Feisty beta and fixed with Feisty stable.

Probably it will be fixed in Gutsy stable with complete translation.

[Bug 138845] cover art should have a maximum size

2007-09-11 Thread simontol
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I use play queue as side pane option, when I resize left column to a readable
width cover image becomes too big.
I suggest to set a maximum size for cover image.
Alternatively I suggest to move cover image from the left pane to the top
toolbar, just like in Listen (http://listen-project.org) and adopt the click
to enlarge / right click to change cover solution.

[Bug 62552] Re: Support for maxSize to usb-serial to support EVDO

2007-01-23 Thread simontol
This patch work for Option Globesurfer Icon GSM/3G/HSDPA 1.8Mbit modem

Using the option kernel module I have a maximum download speed of 45/50 KB/sec
 and a really unstable connection.

After patching the usb-serial module:
#modprobe usbserial vendor=0x0af0 product=0x6600 maxSize=2048

Than I get 140/150 KB sec maximum download speed (the same with
Windows).
