Hello, im not really sure what this means? does it mean the bug is now fixed in 8.10? brian -- dell 19 inch monitor chrashed when changing resolution in 8.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/306284 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 306284] [NEW] dell 19 inch monitor chrashed when changing resolution in 8.10
Public bug reported: I recently bought a "dellbuntu" system with 8.04 installed. I used it for a day and tried several diffrent resolutions and it worked perfectly. then updated to 8.10 and right away my display got quite buggy and when tswitching resolution(because everything was too small) the monitor started randomly flashing colours, very pretty actually. the monitor worked fine booting from a live cd but changes made there didn't carry over. I also tried the "dell rescue disk" but IT was also buggy so I finally re-re installed the ubuntu distro disk(not the dell one) that came with the system and everything was fine thereafter. system wise have an onboard intell video(82g33/31 express integrated graphics controler) and a dell 19 inch lcd monitor. Im sorry i can't tell you the package infor that came with the system but its whatever dell is currently installing on the ubuntu systems as my box is less than 2 weeks old. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- dell 19 inch monitor chrashed when changing resolution in 8.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/306284 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
