[Bug 149945] Re: 2.6.22-13 kernel crash
Hi guys, Sorry for the delayed response. The Hardy Heron Alpha series was recently released which contains an updated version of the kernel. You can download and try the new Hardy Heron Alpha release from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/hardy/ . You should be able to then test the new kernel via the LiveCD. If you can, please verify if this bug still exists or not and report back your results. General information regarding the release can also be found here: http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . [Bug 149945] Re: 2.6.22-13 kernel crash
I believe this could also be related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-meta/+bug/150259 where the system hangs at boot with the 2.6.22-13 and -14 kernels. As a query, how is anybody supposed to successfully run "uname -a" and other such commands when the system won't actually load on the relevant kernel? -- 2.6.22-13 kernel crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149945 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

if ur using a nvidia card and the nvidia drivers from nvidia.com on each kernel update one needs to always re-install it. -- 2.6.22-13 kernel crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149945 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This could be the same bug as Bug 149929, which has several relevant dmesg logs attached already. -- 2.6.22-13 kernel crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149945 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 149945] Re: 2.6.22-13 kernel crash
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description does not yet have enough information. Please include the following additional information, if you have not already done so (pay attention to lspci's additional options), as required by the Ubuntu Kernel Team: 1. Please include the output of the command "uname -a" in your next response. It should be one, long line of text which includes the exact kernel version you're running, as well as the CPU architecture. 2. Please run the command "dmesg > dmesg.log" after a fresh boot and attach the resulting file "dmesg.log" to this bug report. 3. Please run the command "sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log" and attach the resulting file "lspci-vvnn.log" to this bug report. For your reference, the full description of procedures for kernel- related bug reports is available at [WWW] http://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies.
