*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1575593 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575593 Hi Olivier, thanks for reporting the bug. As for the FHS hierarchy, there are good reasons snaps work this way, some of the rationale you can find on http://snapcraft.io/ and if you would like to dig more into it, please use snapcraft mailing list. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1575593 Snappy installed manpages aren't accessible through man -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1583824 Title: Feature Request: having snap package manpages in system MANPATH To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/1583824/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

on the other hand, one might ask... why are we leaving the linux filesystem hirarchy standards? are they that bad, do we really want to look like osx "under the hood"? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1583824 Title: Feature Request: having snap package manpages in system MANPATH To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snap/+bug/1583824/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
