[Bug 24891] Re: Crash (segmentation fault) with trivial input file
As all three test cases provided pass (output is correctly generated with no sigsegv), I'm marking this bug fixed. ** Changed in: graphviz (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- Crash (segmentation fault) with trivial input file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/24891 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 24891] Re: Crash (segmentation fault) with trivial input file
Just as an update: the segfault vanishes as soon as the two lines label="r" and label="p" are removed. This really seems to be a problem in graphviz itself that is most probably fixed in 2.12. Now, if only I was able to create a .deb for 2.12... ;) -- Crash (segmentation fault) with trivial input file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/24891 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 24891] Re: Crash (segmentation fault) with trivial input file
I found another file (see the attached file bc_si.dot) that causes graphviz to segfault, although I don't know if this is related to the same bug. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] dot $ dot -Txdot bc_si.dot Warning: node 'q_e', graph 'NFA' size too small for label Warning: node 'q_\\textit{sink}', graph 'NFA' size too small for label Segmentation fault [EMAIL PROTECTED] dot $ dpkg -l graphviz Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed |/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad) ||/ Name Version Description +++-=-=-== ii graphviz 2.8-2.6 rich set of graph drawing tools --- What's interesting is that this file worked just great using Gentoo, where graphviz 2.12 is the stable version. [Bug 24891] Re: Crash (segmentation fault) with trivial input file
I can reproduce a crash with a simple input file on a Dapper machine: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp $ wget rercola.acm.jhu.edu/test1.dot [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp $ dot test1.dot Segmentation fault [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp $ dpkg -l graphviz Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed |/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad) ||/ Name VersionDescription +++-==-==- ii graphviz 2.2.1-1ubuntu2 rich set of graph drawing tools This is on Ubuntu Dapper i386. A fix would be tremendously useful for dapper-updates because it's a very important package failing on the Long Term Support release for very simple input. You can use http://rercola.acm.jhu.edu/test1.dot as a test file (provided by an acm.jhu.edu user). ** Changed in: graphviz (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released => Needs Info -- Crash (segmentation fault) with trivial input file https://launchpad.net/bugs/24891 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
