[Bug 273153] Re: Automount of memory sticks doesn't work; wrong defaults also
Problem was resolved, now fairly impossible to diagnose original cause and what changed. Changed as presumed fix in updates over time. ** Changed in: ubuntu Assignee: (unassigned) => jaduncan (jaduncan) Status: Incomplete => Fix Released -- Automount of memory sticks doesn't work; wrong defaults also https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273153 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Closed for now as appears to have been fixed - please reopen a bug if this reoccurs, Paul. [Bug 273153] Re: Automount of memory sticks doesn't work; wrong defaults also
Automount of memory sticks just started working for me, but I don't know why. The last thing I did was to remove the entry for /dev/sdb1 from /etc/fstab -- but I had tried working without that entry previously, without success. I now can mount two sticks simultaneously and I get the "new medium detected" window for both of them. I hope that the working state doesn't disappear as inexplicably as it appeared. -- Automount of memory sticks doesn't work; wrong defaults also https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273153 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 273153] Re: Automount of memory sticks doesn't work; wrong defaults also
Does this happen with only one memory stick or all of them? Can you please paste the results of the following command when the disk is inserted:- fdisk -l /dev/sdb (assuming /dev/sdb is the device) ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- Automount of memory sticks doesn't work; wrong defaults also https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273153 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
