Also, the problem does not happen when I attempt to duplicate this bug and the mute button is not recognized (ie: it works, but does not get the OSD for mute). On a later report of this I noted that this appears to have something to do with events being recognized. I disagree with Sebastien for two reasons: 1. The behavior is not consistent between models of computers. The T42p behaved differently than the T60p; if GTK is designed to grab all keyboard events when a menu is opened then the results would be consistent. 2. If GTK is designed to handle keyboard events while a menu is open then this should be changed to a wishlist.
