Not only are the icons very light and have insufficient contrast, this complaint also applies to the Ubuntu logo above the userlist. Will Ambience or Radiance be the default theme for the desktop? I think the gdm theme should match the one after login. Also, I hope this will be Radiance, because I think dark themes always look a little bit deterrent, especially for new users. I recommend changing to the Ambience theme.
