Luis, that sounds like a separate issue. Perhaps you should open another bug for it? Anyway, I'm inclined to close this bug since I got sound working in Chromium again. I simply went to System - Sound and switched input. chromium is adding a huge number of ALSA plugin [chromium-browser] entries in the Applications tab of the Sound Preferences app. So many that the window overflows available screen space by a long margin. It does this even with all plugins disabled. chrome-browser-stable does not display this behavior.
