Nope, neither kernel nor Evolution caused any problems since then. The problems seems to be lost in the seas of entrophy. Whops! While trying to get some more debug info I the kernel crashed on me. After a reboot evolution worked again. Backtrace from attached gdb. It lacks several symbols but only after poll(), so it should (?) be usable anyway.
