Fixed in the current development release, so marking as such. I just want to note that you can prevent the SRU itself will clobber any local changes the user has made in lucid by stashing away a copy of said files in the preinst script. But I guess waiting for some other changes for lucid in the package is fine too. I am using lucid. I had checked in the latest source package before reporting the bug. When I didn't see a conffiles in the Debian directory, I assumed this bug was still there. Sorry about the dup. Could this fix please be backported to lucid, then? This kind of thing is really annoying to sysadmins, who are more likely to run the LTS releases. I can help if you want. Until I figured out this problem, I lost Internet connectivity multiple times on some of my servers (and had to physically get to the console to restart the network connection).
