[Bug 1514971] Re: [SRU trusty] arm64 USB support not enabled for APM Mustang

2015-12-14 Thread Craig Magina
Yes, and things seemed to work fine. However the same patch set caused
issues with wily on mcdivitt due to changes around the need for
CONFIG_DMA_CMA to be enabled. So, during investigations there,
additional patches were discovered as well as a bug fix for the dwc3
driver. The current patches in trusty proposed don't break anything,
they just aren't enough to get USB working completely on the mustang.

What wasn't this identified before? Wasn't a test kernel put together
with these same patches and tested on an APM Mustang?

[Bug 1514971] Re: [SRU trusty] arm64 USB support not enabled for APM Mustang

2015-12-11 Thread Craig Magina
The patches submitted for this bug turned out to not be the complete
picture. I have not hit any issues with these patches, but there are
additional patches that have been discovered recently as well as some
bug fixes that will need to be upstreamed around the dwc3 driver to
completely enable USB on the mustang platform. The current patch set
will not be changed, just additional patches will be added to the set.

[Bug 1514971] Re: [SRU trusty] arm64 USB support not enabled for APM Mustang

2015-12-08 Thread Brad Figg
This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves
the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the
results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-
trusty' to 'verification-done-trusty'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how
to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!
