I don't think this should be a problem with Adept 3.0 in Intrepid. The suggested do-release-upgrade -d did a complete upgrade, but after it, I was left with a completely broken system, with the kernel unable to see any of my partitions and every filesystem superblock corrupted. I've had this on 2 computers.
