BTW: No I find out that it is not the fault of Ubuntu but of hardware problem.
It has been solved by LCD monitor egineer! ^_^ Now I'm very happy with
Ubuntu!!

Hi,
Have you tried this on Intrepid? My laptop has the a 945GM and it's
pretty happy; I'm fairly sure there was a driver change recently (possibly
in Intrepid). Might be worth a go.

Status in Ubuntu: New
Bug description:
My Intel D945GNT is seen as D945***, the *** stands for another variation of
the 945 series. And most importantly, my video card is not working as well as
under windows environment. The color is abnormal, with the light-gray color
invisible.
In windows XP I can adjust this throught what's provided by the OS, but in
Ubuntu I cannot find any.
That's what has been upsetting me all the time since I began to use Ubuntu
4 days ago.
Thanks a lot for what you all guys has been doing for people who love
Ubuntu!!!

PS: This problem cannot be solved by adjusting the setting through the
buttons!
