is it related to that bug you mentioned? error message is a bit
different.

Dependencies.txt shows you have python2.6 2.6.1-1ubuntu5 installed, this 
package is known to break a big number of python applications (bug 349467).
I think there is a big chance this is not a bug in orca, but in python.
Can you please wait until the fixed version of python has been published 
(2.6.1-1ubuntu5.1), update your system and report back if your issue is solved.
