Unfortunately Intrepid Ibex met its end of life on April 30th, 2010.
Could you please try this with a current version and resubmit this bug
if you're still experiencing it, thanks in advance!

I tested with a new profile. The problem still exists. F11 acts like
the Back button instead of triggering full screen mode.

Thank you for submitting this bug and helping to improve Ubuntu.
Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can
conflict. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the
problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to
test. If a new profile helps, you might want to try to disable all your
extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic
one.

You can test a new profile by starting profile manager with the following
command, but make sure all Firefox windows are closed first:
firefox -ProfileManager

To disable extensions, Tools Add-ons Find the extension
Highlight and click 'Disable' Restart Firefox

I have the same problem on a MacBook Pro with XUbuntu Lucid. Pressing
F11 should put Firefox in Full Screen mode, but instead it acts like the
Back button.

The problem persists even after I disable all firefox extensions and
restart.
