Looks like the wording of my original bug could have been better, sorry. The appending of digits after the brasero file name was my idea of a stop-gap solution so the program would still be usable. But my actual request was to use the volume name of the disc as the file name as nautilus-cd-burner did. Without such functionality, making backups of multiple discs in a row is very tedious. Would opening a new bug be the proper thing to do, or should this bug be re-opened and my wording adjusted? Brasero always uses brasero.iso as default iso name, but you are saying that Brasero should use CD's volume name as default name? confirmed that there is fix in brasero version 2.30.2 (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS).
