pastedeploy 1.5.0-1 builds on amd64. [Bug 790751] Re: Please sync pastedeploy 1.5.0-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
I hope you understand that you have to sync the whole package (as in all source packages that use the same namespace) or nothing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/790751 Title: Please sync pastedeploy 1.5.0-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 790751] Re: Please sync pastedeploy 1.5.0-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
Hi Piotr, Thank you for your concerns. And yes I understand, however in Ubuntu the sync is done by an Ubuntu Archive Admin. The process is as follows: 1. Request Sync 2. If subscriber is not a core dev or MOTU, subscribe to ubuntu-sponsors for an ACK. (In my case i'm just a MOTU) 3. Once package is ACK'ed, subscribe to ubuntu-archive 4. Archive admin will proceed with the sync from debian (sync the source package) More info about this process, here [1]: [1]: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SyncRequestProcess -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/790751 Title: Please sync pastedeploy 1.5.0-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 790751] Re: Please sync pastedeploy 1.5.0-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
ok, let me be more clear: you have to sync paste, pastedeploy, pastescript and pastewebkit source packages AT THE SAME TIME or you will break them. All these packages share paste namespace and thus have to use the same sys.path entry (i.e. you cannot build some of them using dh_pysuport and some using dh_python2) -- Piotr Ożarowski Debian GNU/Linux Developer www.ozarowski.pl www.griffith.cc www.debian.org GPG Fingerprint: 1D2F A898 58DA AF62 1786 2DF7 AEF6 F1A2 A745 7645 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/790751 Title: Please sync pastedeploy 1.5.0-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 790751] Re: Please sync pastedeploy 1.5.0-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
Piotr, *ALL* of those packages have already been synced but pastedeploy. The sync process is basically this: If Ubuntu does not contain a delta in a package, then it gets automatically synced from debian (which is the case of pastescript and pastewebkit). If the package does contain an Ubuntu delta, it needs to get examined by a developer, and determine whether we should keep the delta or not (in paste we had a delta which has been dropped and the package has *already* been synced). This leaves pastedeploy, which I reviewed and determined that the delta can be dropped. For this reason I filed the sync bug report. I hope this helps! Thank you again for your concerns! well, then the first sentence of this bug should mention that pastedeploy is currently not usable without this sync, no? ;-P -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/790751 Title: Please sync pastedeploy 1.5.0-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
