1) Create a folder in your desktop folder called "TestFolder". 2) Create two or more files in TestFolder. 3) Delete your TestFolder. 4) Now create another empty "TestFolder" in your desktop folder. in my test, i tested with an empty directory, so I naturally confirmed the dialog warning me about "overwriting files" since the directory was empty I can't imagine being concerned with overwriting files I can't exist. so no it makes 0 sense. I dont understand why you are testing the dialog. The test involves if the files are deleted or not. Confirming your own bug? Hmmm. Anyways, I dont' have 11.10 to try this out on and I left the 12.04 box at home, but in 12.10 there is no issue with this. In fact, it recognizes there is a file of the same name and asks if you want to overwrite, rename, etc. Handles it quite well.
