[Bug 950157] Re: [UIFe] Lubuntu LDM Theme
I only changed it slightly so that it's lighter at the bottom (using two circular white to alpha gradients at 70% opacity) It works and should more or less fit in :) Julien, could you give an ack for the freeze exception? [Bug 950071] Re: LibreOffice Recent documents list is always empty
Thank you for your reply Björn, Apparently there is a fix for this bug released in LO 3.5.1 but I did not test it. (see comment 17 of link [2] below) I found two interesting pages about the issue: [1] http://ask.libreoffice.org/question/254/why-is-the-recent-documents-list-empty-in-35 [2] https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46074 Removing ~/.libreoffice did not work. Apparently LO is storing registry in ~/.config/libreoffice but moving ~/.config/libreoffice did not work either. I've tried all combinations they suggested with no luck. So I uninstalled every package of LO completely from synaptic and installed LO suite again and now it works fine. ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #46074 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46074 ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950071 Title: LibreOffice Recent documents list is always empty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/df-libreoffice/+bug/950071/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 944354] Re: WiFi Ralink RT5390 drivers included in Fedora, but removed from Ubuntu
Hi John, Thank you for the bug report. I was looking at the Ubuntu 12.04 kernel, which is based on upstream v3.2. There does appear to be support for RT5390 via the rt2800pci driver: commit 60687ba710359f32343b7630dc05d3811ef5bf4c Author: RA-Shiang Tu Date: Sun Feb 20 13:57:46 2011 +0100 rt2x00: Add support for RT5390 chip Add new RT5390 chip support config RT2800PCI_RT53XX bool "rt2800pci - Include support for rt53xx devices (EXPERIMENTAL)" depends on EXPERIMENTAL default y ---help--- This adds support for rt53xx wireless chipset family to the rt2800pci driver. Supported chips: RT5390 ~/ubuntu-precise/debian.master/config$ grep -rn "RT2800PCI_RT53XX" * config.common.ubuntu:4299:CONFIG_RT2800PCI_RT53XX=y Even with this support included, it appears you are still experiencing some issues. Could you please provide the following information when running the latest 3.2.0-18.28 Precise 12.04 kernel: * dmesg > dmesg.log * sudo lspci -vnvn > lspci-vnvn.log * A detailed description of the exact issue you are seeing when running this latest kernel As you may understand, having to carry an out of tree driver (ie 539x) for the life of an LTS release is not our ideal solution. If the in tree driver could be fixed instead, that would be best and everyone (not just Ubuntu) would benefit from the solution. [Bug 906922] Re: qemu-arm-static chroots give copious memory errors when setting up java build dependencies
So currently all of the armel PPA buildds that are in auto-mode on production launchpad are using qemu-arm-static to run their build chroots. On staging I saw a dramatic decrease in the number of OOM-type failures and catastrophic mmap() failures, with a slight uptick in sig11s (on different packages, and hard to reproduce via re-builds). We decided it was Good Enough For Now and moved things into production. Probably the best way to stress-test this now would be to run a bunch of armel PPA builds through production launchpad (say, a precise main rebuild or something) and examine the build failures. We definitely felt that this patch gave a worthwhile improvement over the old behavior. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/906922 Title: qemu-arm-static chroots give copious memory errors when setting up java build dependencies To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu-linaro/+bug/906922/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 946485] Re: Dash and HUD take too long to open
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected precise ** Description changed: I invoke the Dash with the super key, and quickly start typing the name of file or application I want to open. But the Dash opens with an animation, sometimes with lag, and the dash won't capture keystrokes right away. Especially when typing quickly, the Dash won't capture as much as my first three keystrokes. When trying to work quickly, this causes problems. I expect to be able to quickly type Super C-H-R Enter, and that should reliably launch Chromium. Because of the lag, the Dash might only capture "R" and launch Rhythmbox instead. [Bug 950933] [NEW] regression in gwibber: it doesn't actualize the memenu and the list view anymore
Public bug reported: 1) Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Beta 1 (nightly build) 2) gwibber: Installiert: 3.3.91-0ubuntu1 3) After a incoming tweet, that I just read on the screen (but wasn't quick enough) - I wanted to read the tweet in the gwibber listview. 4) At first I noticed, that in the memenu everything was on 0 - so 0 messages, 0 private messages Opening the gwibber listview showed, that the last tweet was from 4 hours ago. Now even minutes later - and an intervall of pulling from 5 minutes, the view doesn't actualize anymore, even pressing F5 in the window, or selecting to actualize from the panel menu doesn't change anything, the last tweet shown is from 4 hours ago. [Bug 884255] Re: [HP G62] System is non-responsive to mouse/touchpad clicks
I have just experienced the same issue in a completely different computer with very similar set up. After seeing these posts: http://markmail.org/message/rm3pogzilxg7qakl http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1801465&page=2 The common factor seem to be the awesome window manager used in conjunction with Gnome. Someone suggested it's related to nautilus. And it seems to be true: when this happens, killing nautilus solves the problem. ** Description changed: Sometimes, after an undefined amount of time using my HP G62 laptop, system ignores clicks either from mouse or touchpad. Mouse/touchpad movement still works, but not clicks. There's also another problem that appears that Thunderbird keeps opening repeatedly. I thought the "Mail" hotkey would be locked, but it's not the case, since evtest doesn't show up events for this key when it happens. I think both problems might be related. I haven't had the chance to test yet: - evtest: Check if the click events are generated when this happens. - Check if the problem persists after disabling hotkeys. --- ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 DistUpgraded: Fresh install DistroCodename: oneiric DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 DistroVariant: ubuntu InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Beta amd64 (20110921.2) MachineType: Hewlett-Packard HP G62 Notebook PC Package: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.4.1-1ubuntu2 PackageArchitecture: amd64 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=es_ES.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.0.0-12-generic root=UUID=fedf2154-36ec-408f-bb55-744752f19c8e ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic 3.0.4 Tags: oneiric ubuntu Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: dmi.bios.date: 10/29/2010 dmi.bios.vendor: Hewlett-Packard dmi.bios.version: F.37 dmi.board.asset.tag: Base Board Asset Tag dmi.board.name: 143A dmi.board.vendor: Hewlett-Packard dmi.board.version: 60.3F dmi.chassis.asset.tag: Chassis Asset Tag dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: Hewlett-Packard dmi.chassis.version: Chassis Version dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnHewlett-Packard:bvrF.37:bd10/29/2010:svnHewlett-Packard:pnHPG62NotebookPC:pvr059411252710001020100:rvnHewlett-Packard:rn143A:rvr60.3F:cvnHewlett-Packard:ct10:cvrChassisVersion: dmi.product.name: HP G62 Notebook PC dmi.product.version: 059411252710001020100 dmi.sys.vendor: Hewlett-Packard version.compiz: compiz 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu5 version.ia32-libs: ia32-libs N/A version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.26-1ubuntu1 version.libgl1-mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri 7.11-0ubuntu3 version.libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental: libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental N/A version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx 7.11-0ubuntu3 version.xserver-xorg: xserver-xorg 1:7.6+7ubuntu7 version.xserver-xorg-input-evdev: xserver-xorg-input-evdev 1:2.6.0-1ubuntu13 version.xserver-xorg-video-ati: xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.14.99~git20110811.g93fc084-0ubuntu1 version.xserver-xorg-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.15.901-1ubuntu2 version.xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:0.0.16+git20110411+8378443-1 + --- + ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 + Architecture: amd64 + DistUpgraded: Log time: 2011-12-23 00:42:12.322819 + DistroCodename: oneiric + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 + DistroVariant: ubuntu + MachineType: Packard Bell imedia S3710 + NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia + Package: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.4.1-1ubuntu2 + PackageArchitecture: amd64 + ProcEnviron: + PATH=(custom, user) + LANG=es_ES.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.0.0-16-generic root=UUID=4fe837bb-0475-4626-98a1-52d44be79567 ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-16.28-generic 3.0.17 + Tags: oneiric ubuntu + Uname: Linux 3.0.0-16-generic x86_64 + UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-12-23 (77 days ago) + UserGroups: adm admin audio cdrom dialout fuse lpadmin netdev plugdev sambashare vboxusers video www-data + dmi.bios.date: 05/26/2009 + dmi.bios.vendor: AMI + dmi.bios.version: P01-A2 + dmi.board.asset.tag: To Be Filled By O.E.M. + dmi.board.name: imedia S3710 + dmi.board.vendor: Packard Bell + dmi.chassis.type: 3 + dmi.chassis.vendor: Packard Bell + dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAMI:bvrP01-A2:bd05/26/2009:svnPackardBell:pnimediaS3710:pvr:rvnPackardBell:rnimediaS3710:rvr:cvnPackardBell:ct3:cvr: + dmi.product.name: imedia S3710 + dmi.sys.vendor: Packard Bell + version.compiz: compiz 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu6.1 + version.ia32-libs: ia32-libs 20090808ubuntu26 + version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.26-1ubuntu1 + version.libgl1-mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri 7.11-0ubuntu3 + version.libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental: libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental N/A + version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx 7.11-0ubuntu3 + version.xserver-xorg: xserver-xorg 1:7.6+7u

[Bug 950925] Re: NM doesnt shows up Xubuntu 12.04
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report on this issue. However, given the number of bugs that the Kernel Team receives during any development cycle it is impossible for us to review them all. Therefore, we occasionally resort to using automated bots to request further testing. This is such a request. We have noted that there is a newer version of the development kernel than the one you last tested when this issue was found. Please test again with the newer kernel and indicate in the bug if this issue still exists or not. You can update to the latest development kernel by simply running the following commands in a terminal window: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade If the bug still exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Confirmed. If the bug no longer exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Fix Released. If you want this bot to quit automatically requesting kernel tests, add a tag named: bot-stop-nagging. Thank you for your help, we really do appreciate it. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete ** Tags added: kernel-request-3.2.0-18.28 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950925 Title: NM doesnt shows up Xubuntu 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/950925/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Expected behaviour: Pressing function keys F2 and F3 should lower and raise screen brightness, respectively. Actual behaviour: Keys are non-functional.
