Public bug reported: Using the webbrowser-app I can download any file, and will be prompted to open in an app (if apps that support that content-type exist on the system) or to download the file in the browser. The same behavior should be available webapps but is not. we attempted to use the dialog and it had many usability issues: 1) width of dialog smaller than the available screen real estate made typing in entry fields (i.e. Server field) difficult and typically having to scroll when entering a common servername 2) scrolling within the dialog not discoverable - while scrolling the view in the dialog is functioning it was not intuitive . I'm having a hard time reproducing this and don't know what I'm doing wrong. I copy a bunch of music from my desktop to ~/Music of phone. I see the album art in the Music app but don't see the album art in the gallery-app. Repeat the same steps but copy music from desktop to sd card then insert the sd in phone. Same thing - I correctly see album art in Music player and My Music scope but not in gallery. Doing find for AlbumArtSmall.jpg and Folder.jpg yields nothing. [Bug 1616509] [NEW] notification with screen locked shows undesireable results on tablet
Public bug reported: running rc-proposed on m10 tablet, have security setup for passcode. The problem is whenever my screen is locked and I get a notification (i.e. new gmail message), the screen turns on and I see the OSK taking up half of the screen and the password field focus. This is really distracting and looks bad, as I'm not trying to login. Would be better to just show the notification with no osk. fyi, what we've implemented for now is the following (in silo 9): - calendar notifications will vibrate, instead of playing a sound by default. Calendar notifications can be disabled in Settings->Notifications - calendar notifications will not be displayed for events that you're marked as "Not Attending" (i.e. after google calendar sync) - calendar notifications will show up in the Notifications menu in case you miss then - calendar events will remain in the date/time indicator for the duration of the event and not disappear immediately after the event occurs like they current do After this land, the next step is we plan to implement the extended Notifications panel in System Settings: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Notification This will allow user to choose sound, vibrate, notification bubbles, etc on a per app basis to control notifcations.
