This package installed fine for me on Oneiric, but then again I tested on a
32-bit system. Could you try
$sudo apt-get update
and see if you get the same result with updated package lists?

[Bug 1401783] Re: Requirement argparse breaks package import

2014-12-21 Thread Hans Joachim Desserud
Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu
better.

I was able to reproduce this issue with python3-stevedore 1.1.0-0ubuntu1
on Ubuntu Vivid following the steps outlined above.

While researching, I found that upstream has had a similar bug report
quite recently and it seems like they are still building for python 2.6
(see bug 1372433 for details). However, I don't believe Ubuntu is still
shipping 2.6, so it might be possible to patch the package. I've marked
this issue as affecting upstream as well, to hear what they have to say.

[Bug 946332] Re: ufw --dry-run throws a python exception

2012-03-04 Thread Hans Joachim Desserud
Thanks for reporting this issue.

I get the same traceback when attempting to run ufw --dry-run on
Ubuntu Precise. I guess the reason is that it ries to run an option from
the commandline arguments which should be run as a dry-run. However, it
tries to run a non-existing argument since it wasn't specified. It
should probably check whether an argument is specified rather than
simply crashing.

[Bug 930523] Re: nexuiz requires unavailable package

2012-02-11 Thread Hans Joachim Desserud
Confirmed, this makes nexuiz uninstallable in Precise without this
package. Comparing http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/nexuiz to
http://packages.debian.org/sid/nexuiz it seems like the package is
present in Debian but hasn't been synced to Ubuntu along with the new
version of Nexuiz.

[Bug 930725] [NEW] Sync darkplaces 0~20110628+svn11619-2 (universe) from Debian testing (main)

Please sync darkplaces 0~20110628+svn11619-2 (universe) from Debian
testing (main)

All changelog entries:

darkplaces (0~20110628+svn11619-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Conditionalize more references to the software rasterizer, fixing
more FTBFSs on non-x86 (Closes: #656602)
  * Use the png_jmpbuf macro, the system's definition of png_uint_32
and the real libpng version number, to be compatible with both
libpng 1.2 and 1.5, hopefully (Closes: #650594)

 -- Simon McVittie s...@debian.org Sat, 21 Jan 2012 22:44:37 +

darkplaces (0~20110628+svn11619-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream snapshot r11619, as recommended by the Xonotic developers
for Xonotic 0.5
- remove patch to disable OffscreenGecko, which has been removed upstream
- refresh patches
  * Mention Nexuiz Classic, not Nexuiz, in the package description
(Nexuiz upstream has retroactively renamed what we package as nexuiz
to Nexuiz Classic), and also mention Xonotic, the Free fork of Nexuiz
Classic
  * Remove a duplicate patch which is not actually applied
  * Improve the description of the two type-safety-related patches to explain
why they're applied
  * Bump debhelper compat level to 9

 -- Simon McVittie s...@debian.org Fri, 20 Jan 2012 10:32:16 +

darkplaces (0~20110628+svn11231-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Don't compile SSE code, or the software rasterizer (which requires SSE2),
on non-x86

 -- Simon McVittie s...@debian.org Mon, 18 Jul 2011 23:08:10 +0100

darkplaces (0~20110628+svn11231-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Initial release to Debian under this name (Closes: #319599)
  * Initial Debian patchset:
- link against libjpeg, zlib, libvorbis, modplug, libode, libtheora,
libogg, libpng, curl, freetype2 properly instead of loading them
with dlopen, to have better dependency information; use their headers,
instead of inlining a simplified version
- disable loading d0_blind_id, d0_rijndael, OffscreenGecko libraries,
rather than dlopening a potentially-incompatible version
- fix some typos picked up by Lintian
- import a patch from the nexuiz package (which is actually an old
copy of DarkPlaces) to compile on kFreeBSD

[Bug 872777] Re: No localizations on ubuntu

2012-02-25 Thread Hans Joachim Desserud
Ok, obviously this problem should be sorted out, but I am not really sure
what's causing this. Therefore I have some questions/thoughts.
A) Is this simply bug 752436 again?
B) Would this solved by tweaking options when compiling/packaging Widelands? I
so, should we change it so that this works by default, or include some
instructions (in the release notes or otherwise) to packagers what they need to
do?

Hello and thanks for reporting this issue.

I apologize for my comments above. I tried to add additional information

Therefore I'm marking this as a duplicate of 941041. Again, I'm sorry

[Bug 929409] Re: segfault at qgis start

2012-02-26 Thread Hans Joachim Desserud
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 941421 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/941421

Thanks for reporting this issue.

I was able to reproduce this issue when I attempted to run qgis on
Ubuntu Precise. When it crashed, apport showed a dialog which allowed me
to submit a bug report automatically. Since this gathers files and extra
information regarding the crash which is useful for developers I filed a
new bug. Therefore I'm marking this as a duplicate of bug 941421.

Feel free to report any bugs you might come across in the future.

[Bug 694665] Re: Square blocks shown instead of translated strings in some areas

2011-10-08 Thread Hans Joachim Desserud
I can confirm this issue in wesnoth 1:1.8.6-1 on Ubuntu Oneiric. I have
attached a screenshot demonstrating one dialog which shows translated
strings and one menu which show the squares. I am not sure what's
causing this, but I find it odd that it is possible to show the correct
characters in some places, but not all.
