Public bug reported: I've 4 workspaces enabled. on the side launcher I can see the workspace icon - Clicking on the icon I'd expect it to display the 4 work spaces so I can then navigate to them. [Bug 1347494] [NEW] Logging in doesn't load unity desktop on admin account
Public bug reported: When I log into my main account my desktop doesn't load. If I log in as a guest user I've no issue and desktop loads In order to get main account to work I need to go to to TTY1 and run GSETTINGS_BACKEND=memory COMPIZ_CONFIG_PROFILE=ubuntu DISPLAY=:0 compiz --replace followed by sudo restart lightdm This seems to restart my main account and loads up unity as normal, it doesn't display my side bar as I'd expect but does load the default applications to the side menu. [Bug 1129990] [NEW] Sound no longer works unless you kill it each time for each application

If I start any application that needs sound - vlc, rhythmbox I hear nothing I killall -9 pulseaudio play vlc or rhythmbox and I then have sound I lose my ability to use the sound bar from the indicator area and need to control volume directly from the application At all times I hear the drum noise on start up, but that's the only sound I hear. I've run the trace, the wifi wasn't working well. I let it run for a while then restarted the drivers and let the trace run. This was happening on Quantal and also since I've upgraded to Raring. christopher I can't be sure I had the laptop only a few weeks on precise and it was new. Since upgrading to Q it's just been a nightmare with temperature always at 71 degrees and often sits at 86 most days. Christopher, when it is at 71 there is no fans running. Yes I did look at the work around but I'd be more interested in finding a solution also. Public bug reported: As of the latest updates to 12.10 I cannot alt tab between any application on the workspace, it won't recognise I've other applications open on the workspace. If you have multiple applications open from the same application ie. Terminal, everytime you click on terminal from the launcher it opens another terminal, what I'd expect to happen would be zoom out of desktop and show all open terminals so I can chose from one of them. Public bug reported: when I start up machine a bubble appears saying sensors are all 0 degrees after 5 mins of usage heat temperature shows 70 degrees few minutes later it rises to 86 this is where it sits most of the day. Fans don't seem to be regulating the machine. apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: when I start up machine a bubble appears saying sensors are all 0 degrees after 5 mins of usage heat temperature shows 70 degrees few minutes later it rises to 86 this is where it sits most of the day. Fans don't seem to be regulating the machine.
