[Bug 131418] Re: Open Office Write styles do not work OK
Hello there, I experience the same problem using NeoOffice 2.1 Patch 0 on MacOsX 10.4.10. After reopening a writer file I inserted another Paragraph using the Numbering (Bullets and Numbering). Instead of the concurrent number I get an 1.1 (2nd level). The bad part is, that the button Restart Numbering, which is a toggable one, should actually allow to switch back and forth between the concurrent and a new Numbering. That doesn't work - The button shows no effect. So in my Opinion this must be a Bug in the OpenOffice Package. Are you going to commit a BugReport at OpenOffice.org? [Bug 132624] Re: Gutsy Cannot Print to USB Printer
Model Z12 is highlighted Thanks for your bug report, this is a gnome-cups-manager bug. The problem is gnome-cups-manager looks for your printer model under Lexmark, since the Z600 isn't there it matches the one that closely resembles it: Z12. Since the Z12 driver is not compatible with your printer this won't work. Your printer needs a properietary driver from Lexmark that is not included in Ubuntu. After uninstalling 8.1 and installing 8.2, I find that the init.d script does me no good. After some snooping, it appears that this is because I have no DB data, but I did for 8.1. Re: [Bug 85488] Re: some usb_devices fault if usb_suspend enabled
Andrej, I have the same problem with my BenQ (=Acer) scanner. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane- backends/+bug/85488/comments/40 works for me, but not always.. Sometimes it looks if nothing happens and then, after a while (5-10 minutes) the scanner starts!!! I'm using xsane scanner program. Good luck Hans Andrej schreef: I also have problem with my umax astra net ia101 (using plustek driver). Problems started when I compiled that ($/## usb-suspend into kernel 2.6.20. I kept my old one, but now it doesn't matter with which I boot, with both my scanner doesn't work. Problem was when scanning, lamp is turned off, so the picture was black and scanner head did NOT park (it stoped when returning back). These symptoms only showed in xsane and openoffice gui and not with scanimage. Today I downloaded and installed sane-backends from cvs, but this didn't entirely fixed my problem. Now lamp is on and scanned picture is fine, but scanner head still doesn't return, it still stops in the middle of parking. Does anybody have clue, why I can't scan normally with my old kernel, without usb-suspend? [Bug 132646] firmware files do not have any license
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hplip COPYING assigns licenses to various files, but data/firmware/* does not have any license. Since firmware does not have any source code and thus is not available in the preferred form of modification) (as mandated by the GPL), these files should be distributed under the BSD license.
