Any news on this bug (for 16.04)? Unfortunately the workaround does not work for me. In my case /home is a link to /import/home (i.e home is autofs mounted), so I guess my problem is also related to #1620771? If you can't move the pointer, you wouldn't be able to dismiss it even if it was clickable. Move the pointer, dismiss the notification, move back the pointer. Continue to work. vs Move the pointer, the notification fades away, move the pointer, the notification fades in again. vs Take a coffee break while waiting for the notification to go away :-) The other case is when you (for some reason) want to copy the text in the notification and/or for some reason want to make it persistent. Notifications become persistent in the indicators. Clicking the appropriate indicator should bring you to the actual application which should then allow you to copy the required text. Not necessarily. A (really bad) example is if you have something using notify-send, then there are probably no indicator. However when unattended-upgrades are run (and the only packages eligible for upgrades are blacklisted) I still get an email (see below). I do not consider this situation as an error that warrants an email. Apticron will be used to notify that there are packages available for upgrades and that are not handled by unattended- upgrades. I haven't yet been in the situation where there are both upgradeable packages and blacklisted packages, so I'm not sure if I will receive an email in that case. It happens for me when using the linux Spotify client (which is using QT) and dragging a song to a playlist. Work around in this case is to quit Spotify, then the launcher starts to autohide again. Hm, yes it is a problem that all F-keys are already used. I think it would be nice to have an as easy way to close windows/session as it is to create new windows. How about have a dialog for deleting windows and/or closing the session?
