I use Wayland, GNOME session. The key, after having selected any of the combination icons (external, internal, clone, join), returns my first display to be cloned on my monitor. No other possibility. I maybe experience the same issue: seahorse keeps (randomly after session start) asking me a password to unlock keyring. The point is that I set a void keyring pwd avery time and it's resetted every time. I have full-disk-encryption too... but I kept a gdm login pwd after boot. FYI I did experience such hard reboots (very annoying, for sure!) with lwfinger dkms driver, but never (never) since some time and especially since Ubuntu did include rtw89 in 5.15 kernel.
