Doesn't make any sense...
Well, i messed up things trying to fix this problem, i've been following
different directions and one of them was to install a backport module for
wireless.
Nothing worked so i decided to remove and then reinstall the broadcom driver, i
did it but after that i was totally without wireless since the wl module
wouldn't load due to an unknown symbol error.
It turned out it was that backport module i've installed to cause this so i
removed it.
Then i had wireless back, but the same problem with the wpa stuff.
So i decided to downgrade the wpasupplicant i just upgraded following the #35
comment.
I came back to the wpasupplicant package in the ubuntu repositories.
I couldn't believe that, but when i tried to connect to my wpa protected
network it worked immediately.
Now, i'm writing this without having rebooted yet, so...i can't say my problem
is completely fixed.
I'll update this if it comes back.
