Hey. I have the same phone and have done amazing lot of tweaking with
it. Installing another OS has been difficult as motorola did not
release the full code (as they should have). But there have been many
new versions of the same OS packed into monster packs which bring some
amazing tweaks to this linux phone. The only problem was the RAM, 8MB,
was too less to do something big. But that was solved to some extent
by swap file. Head to http://motorolafans.com and enter the E6
section. They have an extensive guide to "flashing" and have downloads
to motorola's own official versions and community created monster
packs.
Some guy managed to install android but it looks fake :P
I currently have the 'montavista' OS on the phone.
Also, flashing can be done only using a windows software RSDlite.
Isn't this phone awesome? :)
