Re: 10.10 / 11.04 error?

2010-12-26 Thread Linden
I had made a Bug report knowing that its with other people and not just
me.

I reported it as a security vulnerability as other files from 11.04
could be getting mixed with 11.04 that could caused a system
vulnerability

Please go here an an report if you are affected or not.

Re: 10.10 install bug...untested.

2010-10-06 Thread Linden
Sorry for the real late reply on this...

I got back with him and it ends up being a network hard error (when he
tries to install the OS its locking on cuz of the network card) but its
a old laptop and I dont know the wireless card is but if I find out I
will post it here.

And I have tested the OS on my desktop late last night and had no
problems (maybe only his system with his set-up)

Re: Call for feedback from new contributors to Ubuntu QA

2010-10-01 Thread Linden
Hello and just wanted to say thanks for asking that and I will tell you
what I think.

* How did you learn about this part of the community?
Found it under another person profile "click on icon"

 * What attracted you to this type of participation?
Being a big part of what Ubuntu is and to help make sure that a good
system is put out for release.

 * Where did you look first for information on getting involved?
Looked on the launchpad of the team and have all so sat on the mailing
list to see what was going on and learn from watching.

 * Did you feel the places you looked for information were useful? If
not, how could we improve?
I feel that the information there is great and dont really see how much
more it could be improved.

 * When learning skills and content for participating, were the
resources you used useful? If not, how could we improve?
I feel that they where.

 * What recommendations would you make for improving your experience in
our community?
The experience has be nice no complaints

ubuntu 10.10

2010-09-28 Thread Linden
I have seen alot of people posting about 10.10 and bugsI have a
intel celeron and it seems to be booting on the slow side (take about 2
to 3 times as long than before)

but the boot times seem to be alittle slower with 10.04

dont know if any of this would help find the problem or could even be
part of the problem
