Re: Live CD of Ubuntu-Studio as a .torrent
shirish wrote: Hi all, I had a look at the list provided at http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntustudio/releases/hardy/rc/ and couldn't find a Live CD as an RC. Apparently it can only be done as an alternate CD. What's the issue with having a LIve CD of the same? I'm sure you guys have couple of links which tells what's missing there :) https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-studio-devel/2008-April/000475.html -- Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users

Alsa Modular Synth. It can host LADSPA, has own modules (utilities like mixers and synth-related stuff) and every parameter can be controlled via MIDI. To wire the parameters with MIDI-controllers first connect your controller-device or software with ams using the MIDI-panel of qjackctl, then open menu/view/control center. As you turn a knob or move a slider its ID lights up in the left panel of this window. You can now mark the ID and a Parameter-ID of your liking, click Bind to connect them and don't forget to save the patch before closing ;-). The website looks a bit abandoned but fortunately Malte Steiner has taken over the maintainance/developement of ams, so we can hope for a great future for ams... -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFICnp21Aecwva1SWMRAslwAJ9aX7s08XJrxn+def8L7+7N6uCWHwCff2rn QhqRDw7PG/eGxmJUvgvUJKw= =I2Qt -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users
