[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1426489] Re: fglrx-core 2:14.501-0ubuntu1: fglrx-core kernel module failed to build [error: implicit declaration of function ‘__get_cpu_var’ ]
@ROCHE read this comment: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/1276379/comments/41 (and sorry for my poor english, I can't edit that comment and correct my errors). However, it's the same for 15.04: you cannot install fglrx drivers because AMD dropped support for the Radeon HD 2xxx, 3xxx and 4xxx cards. If you want to use proprietary drivers, they work only on Ubuntu 12.04.1 (kernel linux 3.2), but with an old version (Catalyst 13.1). If you want to use Ubuntu 14.04 LTS or 15.04, you have to use the open Radeon drivers (preinstalled in Ubuntu). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1450565] [NEW] Purple hanging screen on startup and black screen when awakening from suspend
Public bug reported: I am finding that after upgrading from Ubuntu 14.10 to Ubuntu 15.04 that when my machine starts up and I get to the login screen that the entire screen just suddenly goes purple, although I can see and move the mouse. And when awaking my machine from suspend that I get the same, except it is a black screen, and unlike with the purple screen, does not flash the login screen before becoming the solid colour. I first noticed the purple screen today (and have had 15.04 for 4 days now), but since I upgraded I have been having the black screen when awaking from suspend, sometimes I worry that the black screen will just never go away, because each time it stays there slightly longer, probably the first time was about 5 seconds, now maybe 15, I dread to think what it will get to, and I suspect that I will be seeing more of the purple screen too now that it has showed its face. --- OS Information: Description:Ubuntu 15.04 Release:15.04 Package Information: xorg: Installed: 1:7.7+7ubuntu4 Candidate: 1:7.7+7ubuntu4 Version table: *** 1:7.7+7ubuntu4 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ vivid/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1450565 Title: Purple hanging screen on startup and black screen when awakening from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1450565/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Its pushbuttons have also stopped working. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1443434] Re: VLC's image is scrambled when using XVideo
I am having the same problem on a Lenovo T450s. There are a few things also worth noting - After resuming from a suspend, the video plays just a black screen. - While resuming from a suspend the password prompt never loads properly. (a blank window but I know to enter password) - When rebooting, the ubuntu logo is scrambled around the screen until it shuts off. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1450637] [NEW] Mouse left click doesn't work after a while
Public bug reported: I just installed 14.04 LTS a few days a ago and everything was working fine. But today, after a while the mouse (and touchpad) left click would stop working, right click and mouse movement seems working fine. I checked with xev, there is no left click button events coming. If I reboot the laptop, it would start working again, but only for a while (like several minutes, but the duration is kind of random).
