Actually, I see that xorg-edgers has even newer than Q4 bits, along with our new X stack. Can you please reproduce your issue with this new stack? The PPA is available at: https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa Here's a simple way to install: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade Then reboot your system to get to the new bits. It can't hurt. Word from Intel is they don't want to look at the bug until it's been confirmed against their Q4 release. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 700282] Re: [i945gm] GPU lockup 585b0b66 (PGTBL_ER: 0x00000102)
Hi Andree, can you tell me more about this second time it happened? Did apport pop up to report the bug? (If it does in the future, please do file it again; sometimes the extra logs for comparison can help isolate the issue). What were you doing leading up to the lockup? We're going to be moving natty to its new X stack within the next week or so. Currently this stack is available in xorg-edgers, and our testing is showing it to be quite stable. I'd like to have you attempt to reproduce your issue with this new stack. If it still occurs with that stack, we can then take the the bug upstream, or approach the kernel team or other appropriate groups about it.
