Message:
every version of mysql I have installed worked perfectly, that is the install ran
smoothly (I am using FreeBSD 3.4). When I tried to "MAKE" the new version of
mnogosearch, 3.1.10, I got the error:

Making all in src
"Makefile", line 390: Need an operator
make: fatal errors encountered -- cannot continue
*** Error code 1

Why is this happening?
Thanks,
Ari

UdmSearch: Webboard: Is there anywhere to skip extra long URLs?

I have file with about 10,000 URLs i have to index... the only problems is about 3% of
these are too long for the indexer, and whenever i try to index the file its says
"error on Line : XXX of file: URL too long". Is there anyway to bypass these error
messages to just ignore URLs that are too long?

UdmSearch: Webboard: Indexing a MP3 File

Could someone post a sample indexer.conf file which will index ID3 information for a
list of files, each added seperately? (See example below)

Server Http://www.server.com/file.mp3
Server Http://www.server.com/file2.mp3

I already installed with the mp3-enable function, just how do I only grab ID3 tag info
on files?

Thanks,
Adrift

UdmSearch: Webboard: Help with Sound file Search!

2000-11-10 Thread Adrift

Author: Adrift
Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Message:
Hello Everyone!
First off, I want to thank the UDMSearch guys for their killer app!
I've compiled UDMSearch with the --enable-mp3 option, and everything works. Here's my
problem.

I want to create a spider that only cataloges sound files (.mp3, .wav, .ra, .ram,
.vqf, .au, etc.). I've tried to do this through ALLOW and DISALLOW, but for some
reason the spider won't add records for any files! It only indexes the address of the
HTML file, but doesn not index any of the files linked to within the HTML file!

Can someone please send me a indexer.conf file which will catalog the links contained
within a HTML file to sound files?

I'm not sure if this is so clear, so I'll include a example. Here is the HTML file,
let's call it test.html

This is my sound
http://www.url1.com/sound1.wav"> Download

I want it set up so that http://www.url1.com/sound1.wav is added to the database, not
just that html file/

Thanks
Adrift

UdmSearch: Webboard: BUG? 502 error when indexing using ftpsearch.conf file

2000-11-09 Thread Adrift

Author: Adrift
Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Message:
I get a "Command not implemented" (502) code whenever I try to index a ftp site - the
indexer doesn't give me the error, but when I check the mysql database in the URL
table I find that only the address of the site has been indexed, no files, with that
error attached to it. Is this a bug?
