You'd best report this as a bug in the piCorePlayer issues thread (there is one for each major version, I am assuming you are using 6.1.x?). Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer 6.1.0 issues
Hi. I run PiCorePlayer on a pi3b in a box with the Audiophonics power management unit installed. After activating the button in the overlay another button shows up: 31696 When trying to install, I see this: 31695 The led on the button has at least stopped blinking, but still I have to hold the button for fie secs to shutdown. Can this Shutdown Monitor be installed manually somehow? +---+ |Filename: Skjermbilde 2020-09-26 kl. 09.16.15.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=31696| +---+ trondkj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64958 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112456 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer 6.x.x - Bluetooth
Hi everyone, Apologies, I'm not sure if this is the right thread or if I should create another one. I'm trying to stream bluetooth from a Windows laptop to pCP (in other words using pCP as a speaker. Not trying to stream to a web stream). I've clicked discover in pCP and my Windows laptop was able to find it. I've changed the type to be "Player" as mentioned in this forum. My windows laptop is able to connect with no issues but when I try to play no sound comes out. The only thing I can think of is that my pCP box is connected to an external DAC via USB. This works fine with LMS however. Can you please advise? amatos's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59358 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111972 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Is your device allowed to get to the internet? Does your PCP use DHCP? If your DHCP server is also your DNS then you should be able to resolve your PCP host name as it should be registered in your local namespace. mr-b's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10044 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111787 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

its throwaway remarks like that that put an end to me delivering and supporting my solutions 10 years ago as another alter-ego :( I run my own solutions 24/7 for years at a time, decades even throwaway remarks discourage others from trying and providing feedback to help improve the robustness of a solution I can look at the numbers on git and see the repo attracts many many visitors per day and many many downloads so there must be reliability and robustness for some, or many, the silent masses  there's only so much money and time I can throw at a solution, dozens of OLED screens, DACs and Pi's, so many hours, its hard to count but there's only so many scenarios I can throw at the builds so I rely on folks to provide help, [hopefully] a little self-analysis, and at minimum a log I can try and find solutions for flakey networks, bouncing servers, partial JSON playloads, and environments that push the limits It makes for better solution for everyone @aki7 - awaiting your logs and additional info and I'm only too happy to get to the bottom of your exhibit As of 2020/09/22 *Total Tracks: 153,334 Total Albums: 14,149 Total Artists: 19,943 Total Genres: 715 Total Playing Time: 24458:30:17* shunte88's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40185 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111790 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 6.0.0
I suspect you need a mDNS/zeroconf service running in the network and then pCP uses avahi to publish to it ... but I have not researched how it all works. I suspect it is my router running OpenWRT that is doing it for me. It works for me so have not had to delve more deeply. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 6.0.0
We don't load zeroconf/avahi by default on piCorePlayer following the Tiny Core/piCore philosophy. I can't remember the exact figures, but zeroconf/avahi needs a significant number of dependencies which would have increased the size of piCorePlayer significantly. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] BETA: piCorePlayer6.0.0 - PI4 support
Sorry, for the cross-post (original here: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?112984-Playlist-tracks-duplicated-in-LMS-library-on-PiCorePlayer#post989754), but I haven't received a response after 24 hours and I thought this may be a better place to find some help with this issue... I recently converted from running LMS on a Windows PC to a RPi running PiCorePlayer. I was browsing through the library when I noticed that several albums were duplicated in the Album browse menu. The second of each album listed only has 1 to ~5 tracks showing when I click on them. After looking at 5 or so albums I realized they were usually my favorite tracks and verified that all of the them are saved to static playlists. My guess is that either a setting or the way I have things structured is causing tracks saved to static playlists as duplicates to the ones saved in their primary location. Here is how I have things structured: Media Folders: /mnt/LMSFiles/Tunes Playlists Folder: /mnt/LMSFiles/Playlists I attached a snapshot of the first few lines of one of my playlists as seen in Notepad++ Please let me know if anything stands out that could be the cause of this issue, or if there are any other settings that I should check. Thank you in advance! 31714 +---+ |Filename: playlist text.PNG| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=31714| +---+ traut's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8407 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110727 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
