Error starting new build? any ideas what I've done wrong?

2013-03-21 Thread Robert Chalmers
The original OM installed, works fine.

I stop the service that runs it, and have built the 'build' from yesterday,
which compiled with no errors.

I go to the dist directory, and type
red5-debug.bat and it creates a huge log of information - and when I type

localhst:5080/openmeetings/

I get this

Re: Error starting new build? any ideas what I've done wrong?

2013-03-21 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
@Clem your issue is reproducible in trunk only (can be workarounded by
removing invalid java parameter)
it is unclear what version is used by Robert

since " it creates a huge log of information " the later HTML posted is
caused by "huge log" :)

Re: Error starting new build? any ideas what I've done wrong?

2013-03-21 Thread Irina Arkhipets
Robert,

I see the following error in the log:
"org.apache.openjpa.persistence.PersistenceException: Cannot load JDBC
driver class 'com.mysql.jdbc.Driver'"

You need to use "ant -Ddb=mysql" command to build OpenMeetings if you use
MySQL database.

Otherwise you need to download MySQL driver manually and put it into
red5/webapps/openmeetings/WEB-INF/lib directory.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Irina.

@Robert actually you are updating nothing .

to get any updates you need BRANCH:

Maxim,
which is better then - Branch or Trunk to maintain a reasonably stable
server?

Thanks

Re: Error starting new build? any ideas what I've done wrong?

2013-03-21 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
no need to rebuild same sources
you can start from trying pre-built binaries
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/openmeetings/2.1/rc2/bin/

Hopefully I'll create RC3 today/tomorrow

RC2 is broken :(
you can take RC1 from
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/openmeetings/2.1/rc1/bin/

or wait for RC3

Re: Error starting new build? any ideas what I've done wrong?

2013-03-21 Thread Robert Chalmers
Ok, thanks Maxim,

When you announce RC3 and it's directory, I'll svn that and see how it goes.

Meantime, I have an operational binary of opemeetings running - although it
won't load the profile images onto the pages. They are in the directory,
but wont' load into page. Not a big issue.

anyway, waiting .. :-)

cheers
Robert

@Robert actually you are updating nothing .

 Working Copy Root Path: F:\openmeetings
 URL: http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openmeetings/tags/2.1RC2
 Repository Root: http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf
 Repository UUID: 13f79535-47bb-0310-9956-ffa450edef68

means you using SVN TAG which is static (no changes the version is
updated since there are commits to the Apache svn)

to get any updates you need BRANCH:
 http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openmeetings/branches/2.1

 or trunk
 http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openmeetings/trunk/singlewebapp
