It looks like they've made it easier than it had been in the past: From the main menu, click Mailing Lists (under the Community subheading) Scroll down for links to multiple list archives and subscription information. RE: Could someone on the dev team add link to mailing list on Struts site
Jeff, I've probably already exceeded my allotment of emails on this issue, but the point I was trying to make is that the link you're talking about is not available on the Struts main home page (http://struts.apache.org/index.html). I'm not aware of too many projects where you've got to hunt to find the mailing list info. And I did try searching for the post Dakota Jack referenced explaining why it was this way, but I never did find it. How about mailing list rules besides ask smart question remark? For example, I did not know that Announcement is not a proper form, and that one has to use [ANNOUNCEMENT] instead. Could not find any specific rules generic to Apache web site either. Shale guys have their [SHALE] prefix. Any other prefixes? Also, should not Shale get its own mailing list, it is a different framework after all. Re: Could someone on the dev team add link to mailing list on Struts site
I don't think [...] email title prefixes are official. Most used and understood is [OT] and [FRIDAY]. I think a few people want to use such prefixes in order to filter their incoming mail, but I don't, and I think it's unnecessary to make such voluntary rules. I read email with 'Announcement' and 'Shale' just as much as [ANNOUNCEMENT] or [SHALE]. On 26/05/05 18:15nbsp;Michael Jouravlev wrote: How about mailing list rules besides ask smart question remark? You won't believe this, Rick, but they actually make these things hard to find on purpose. Check the archives if you think I am kidding. RE: Could someone on the dev team add link to mailing list on Struts site
I believe the point was that this page is not linked to from the main Struts page (http://struts.apache.org/index.html)? If it is, I can't find it. And I don't understand why, as it's probably one of the first things a new user would look for. Also, the List Archive link is broken, so it's doubly annoying to someone coming in for the first time.
