Status of Tiles without Struts
What’s the status of Tiles without Struts? I see all sorts of outdated and conflicting information on where to get it from, how to configure it, what dependencies it has, etc. Websites, blog posts, and mailing list postings all seem to tell me somewhat different things… Could somebody who’s in the know here explain what the status of this project is, and how I can get it up and running in a simple way? Thanks. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Status-of-Tiles-without-Struts-tf3778187.html#a10683700 Sent from the Struts - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: Status of Tiles without Struts
I have used sitemesh in the past http://www.opensymphony.com/sitemesh/ This is a filter that intercepts the html on the way out, parses it then decorates it with a header, menu etc. etc. lightbulb432 wrote: Great, thanks! Out of curiosity, what are the alternatives to Tiles for JSP templating? Assuming I'd like to use JSP for the view, what ways of making a maintainable website are there? Of course I could use the JSP include action and directive, but that wouldn't be maintainable (or would it in practice - what's your experience?) What alternatives are there, and how do they compare to Tiles? Thanks. Ok. See in sources.
