Almost all cases, I've encountered packages which claim to require Coin2, actually did so thanks to lack of better upstream knowledge. Many of them actually require an SGI-Inventor API-compatible library and do not require Coin at all [Coin originally is an SGI-Inventor clone, imitating the SGI-Inventor-2.1. API, originating from times, when SGI-Inventor was closed source, with a few features added.] What happened to that pioneering spirit? :-). It has never existed? What happened to the leading edge?
I thought Fedora tried to stay up to date with latest released software? I just tried to build FreeCAD 0.15 from git, but it needs Coin3, and fedora only has Coin2. Earlier I tried to run RepetierHost 1.0.6, but it needs Mono 3.2, also missing in fedora.
