spamassassin not sending out spam header, help!
Hi there, I'm having difficulty sending out spam email with "spam mark" on the email integrated with postfix mail server. By running the test"spamassassin -D < /usr/share/doc/spamassassin-3.1.1/sample-spam.txt", I get following output below with no sender or recipient email. Furthermore, at the end of the output I noticed "-0.0 NO_RECEIVED has no Received headers": [birn-holly ~]# spamassassin -D < /usr/share/doc/spamassassin-3.1.1/sample-spam.txt [18583] dbg: check: subtests=__CT,__CTE,__CT_TEXT_PLAIN,__HAS_MSGID,__HAS_SUBJECT,__MIME_VERSION,__MSGID_OK_HOST,__NONEMPTY_BODY,__SANE_MSGID,__TOCC_EXISTS,__UNUSABLE_MSGID Received: from localhost by birn-holly.ucsd.edu with SpamAssassin (version 3.1.1); Thu, 25 May 2006 10:44:03 -0700 From: Sender <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Recipient <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [*SPAM*] Test spam mail (GTUBE) Date: Wed, 23 Jul 2003 23:30:00 +0200 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> X-Spam-Flag: YES X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.1.1 (2006-03-10) on birn-holly.ucsd.edu X-Spam-Level: ** X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=1000.0 required=5.0 tests=GTUBE,NO_RECEIVED, NO_RELAYS autolearn=no version=3.1.1 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="--=_4475ECE3.7E2035B9" This is a multi-part message in MIME format. =_4475ECE3.7E2035B9 Content-Type: text/plain Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Content analysis details: (1000.0 points, 5.0 required) pts rule name description -- -- -0.0 NO_RELAYS Informational: message was not relayed via SMTP 1000 GTUBE BODY: Generic Test for Unsolicited Bulk Email -0.0 NO_RECEIVEDInformational: message has no Received headers

Help on report_template text file for receiving emails
Hi there, I want to enable spamassassin to send spam email notification to me or tech support contact information. Not sure whether to modify the local.cf or create |10_local_report.cf file under ||/etc/mail/spamassassin? I've already generated a local.cf using | Michael Moncur configuration tool. If I modify the local.cf, I assume I just copy the following text from the 10_misc.cf default rule and add it in the local.cf and replacing the _CONTACTADDRESS_ with the tech support address? : # Default template. Try to keep it under 78 columns (inside the the dots below). # clear_report_template report Spam detection software, running on the system "_HOSTNAME_", has report identified this incoming email as possible spam. The original message report has been attached to this so you can view it (if it isn't spam) or label report similar future email. If you have any questions, see report [EMAIL PROTECTED] for details. report report Content preview: _PREVIEW_ report report Content analysis details: (_SCORE_ points, _REQD_ required) report report " pts rule name description" report -- -- report _SUMMARY_ Thanks!
