Re: Jmx with Java 1.4.2_16 and Tomcat 5.0

With this i can easily connect to MbeanServer using JConsole. Is there a way to do exactly the same with Java 1.4.2_XX and Tomcat 5.0 ? I'm facing issue with this couple and i want be able To plug JMX JConsole. AS far as i have read on the net, JMX layer is provide as separates jar files. Can anyone explain how to deploy the jar files and how to configure tomcat 5.0 ? Is it exactly the same as java 1.5 with tomcat 5.5 ? In this day and age, my advice would be to not even try to deploy on a 1.4.x JVM. That having been said, you need to download and install the compatibility package, which makes mx4j your JMX provider.
