Hello,
Just a little note here, if you don't mind. If you have airplain mode on, you
will not be able to use Siri.

The triple click home might not be set if updated, worth going into
accessibility to check that. Meanwhile, Siri is a reliable option...
 usually.

Hi Louana. There are a few ways of turning Voiceover off. One is to do a
triple click of the home button, or you can ask Siri to turn it off for you.

If you're near a computer, I think you can turn it off with iTunes. HTH.

Hi all
On an iPad, what Skype app do you use Skype for iPad or Skype for
iPhone? I currently use Skype for iPad but I hear Skype for iPhone
offers more features since that's being updated more frequently.

Re: alix

2014-10-24 Thread Shawn Krasniuk
Hi Billy. This has already been talked about, but I find that Alex beats any of
the high quality or compact Vocalizer Expressive voices. Some say that he
sounds distorted, but I don't have that problem. My volume for Voiceover and
the phone in general is about the same so no distortion here.

Re: HQ voice for the 4S?

2014-10-24 Thread Christopher Hallsworth
Don't worry about that, when it says VoiceOver, on, button it's just
confirming that it is indeed on. You cannot accidentally turn it off
unless you double tap the second VoiceOver, on, button.

Thanks for that info. Voice over is the one place I did not go because

Although now that I think of it, I guess I could have turned it back on
using Siri if necessary.

Don,

Where exactly did you check? The option is in Settings, General,
Accessibility, Voiceover. Once you are there go to Speech, then
double tap on the default dialect and you can select the high quality
voice there.

Okay, thanks for that. But I am embarrassed to admit that I looked

download a high quality female voice. What am I missing?
