Maybe they are covered. I could be wrong. It sounded like Paul was very sure of himself, so he is quite likely correct. I had never heard of things like DirecTV and dish being covered, but that could be an oversight or I could've just forgotten. Re: DirecTV accessibility via the iPhone?
Hi Paul, Well, that is interesting. I thought the deadline for set-top boxes and televisions was the end of this year. You may very well be right. I know I have heard lots of people talking about the start of next year as the deadline for when TVs must be accessible. And I thought that was true for the cable boxes. In any case, it would be nice if it would be true for the satellite TV receivers as well. Of course, who knows what will happen after January 20. Hello Donna and Mary. I also use the Direct TV app. It's easy to find out what time a show is on a particular channel. It's also easy to manage recordings. The Direct Tv app is 100% accessible!! There is also a voice feature that one can use to locate programs & channels. I love this app because I'm able to watch all of the channels I have subscribed to & also watch programs I have recorded while away from home. I can also schedule a recording of a program when away from home. The best accessible Tv viewing app I have come across.
