Re: Questions about using auto correct
Hi, I still can't get the hang of using auto-correct. When I tap the word I want, I never see it as being corrected when I read the text back. Is it better to use predictive? That doesn't seem to work for me either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Eve -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. Re: Questions about using auto correct
Auto correct will take a word you misspell and try to change it to what it guesses you meant to say. Predictive typing, on the other hand, looks at what you're typing as you type it. It makes a guess about what word you are trying to type, letting you tap the word once you see it. I've been able to write several words in a row just by typing a letter or two, then double tapping the correct word. In short, auto correct kicks in after you finish a word, or when you are near the end; predictive typing is always on, trying to guess the word you're going for so you don't need to finish typing it. > On Jan 23, 2015, at 5:53 PM, Ioana Gandrabur wrote: > > Thanks for your reply. > > I have done this and it works well > > Any idea what the difference between auto correct and word prediction is ? > > Regards > > Ioana > > > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On Jan 23, 2015, at 12:13 PM, Isaac Hebert wrote: >> >> The best way I use audo correct is to first type the word. >> Next press the delete button until the iPhone makes the sound telling you >> you have a misspelled word. >> Then swipe left or right to the suggestion that you want and then double >> tap. >> Have you tried that? >> >> Sent from my iPhone >> >>> On Jan 22, 2015, at 3:27 PM, Ioana Gandrabur wrote: >>> >>> Hi everyone. >>> >>> I have just started to use direct touch typing and am wondering about the >>> best way to use auto-correct. >>> As I type, I can hear the first prediction or auto-correct suggestion but, >>> sometimes it's not the right one and I'd like to see the other options it >>> suggests. Re: Questions about using auto correct
The best way I use audo correct is to first type the word. Next press the delete button until the iPhone makes the sound telling you you have a misspelled word. Then swipe left or right to the suggestion that you want and then double tap. Have you tried that?
