These should basically be gone now, aside from permission errors that require
root users to fix, which scripts were run to fix.

That ogv file was recently manually added by an admin with the wrong
permissions (which is rare). dcec58e could also be activated even for that
case.

It would be nice if, when navigating through a paginated PDF, it did not
require reloading the page every time you click "next page" or "previous page".
I think some JavaScript can be employed here to update the URL and load the
next/previous page without requiring everything to be refreshed. I don't
imagine this would be too difficult to do, so I'm going to mark this as easy.

Fixed what? I'm having this problem today, tonight, right now. WinXP in
Firefox, IE or Chrome, take your pick. The chapters feature doesn't work. I
cannot save titles. I cannot move articles around within a book. I just found
out that I cannot delete articles, either.

The fixes listed in comment 16 have been approved and backported into wmf10 and
wmf11. They are live now, and the watchlist star is now working for me.

I didn't find the setting on

We want to serve favicon from the bits.wikimedia.org domain. So they should be
uploaded to operations/mediawiki-config in the docroot/bits/favicon directory
created by https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/23077/ . The wgFavicon setting
need to be updated as well.

by "nothing works" I mean it's on our side.

we have a monitor process polling the API to get every update on all wikipedia
site and then crawl the update and update our internal storage. At first the
bug only happened on EN wikipedia, now all wikipedia sites suffer this. So our
system is complete down.

Yes, once we get 27699 out of the way, we can enable opus, mp3 and h.264
transcodes and playback relatively easily, since the mechanics for source

There are some hacks that check HTTP_APPLICATION_VERSION and hide the header or
logo depending on settings that came from our old iPhone and Android apps that
did screen scraping.

These old apps are dead and we should remove the special-cases, which had
caching issues anyway.

Well, I was hoping to have started on it, but the repo corruption problems from
last week and this week have taken up all my time. It's the next thing on my
to-do list.

(We were also waiting until the replication.config was properly puppetized,
which it is since like a week and a half ago)
