As an aside, there is some limited support for categoryintersection via the various toolserver scripts - http://toolserver.org/~daniel/WikiSense/CategoryIntersect.php . Additionally, the search box can kind of do category intersection if your search for incategory:first_category incategory:second_category. See [[Help:Searching]]. Both these are still far from what is being requested, but they may be helpful for your particular needs. In regards to comment 28 - the issue is not making category intersection code - that is relatively easy and already exists in various extensions, like DynamicPageList.
