Subject: Contradictory informations about video card support
Hi,
i own an ISA Trident TVGA8900B vga card, and i would like to know whether it is
supported or not by XFree 4.2.1...
For instance, the XF 4.2.1 Driver status page says it is on 3.3.6 AND
4.2.1 but below, in the summary section, it is said :
The following (older) chipsets are supported in 3.3.6 and *not* in 4.2.1:
..., TVGA8900B, ...
And again, the next paragraph :
The TVGA8900B ..., ..., are supported in both 3.3.6 and 4.2.1.
Is this a mistake or a i missing something ?
I reported this ages ago, either in bugzilla or on the devel@
list, possibly even prior to the list being public.. Don't
recall, but there were numerous errors/inaccuracies present. If
someone can fix the docs right away, that'd be fine, however I
can probably track down my email/whatever of the various problems
I discovered and file a bug report if that would be prefered
instead.
That's because the docs mentioned above were fixed in 4.3.0, and the
guy above is using 4.2.1.
Alan.
