We've had an open bug for it for a while, and I think Derek has done a
bit of work, but it was half-done:
https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12375

So the python recipe in oe-core still needs to be updated. No need to
create a new one, update the existing recipe, and rebase/remove
patches as needed.

Any help here would be appreciated, but this is not a trivial task,
and if you are new to Yocto, it might be too much for you to handle.

[yocto] Python 3.6 recipes

2018-06-24 Thread Selvaraj V
Hi all,

I am new to yocto and I wanted to use Python 3.6 for my development
activities. When I searched for Python 3.6, I found that the recipe was not
available.

I had looked at the Python 3.5 recipe for using it as a template but adding
to my troubles there are patches mentioned in the recipe. How do I find
which patches to include if I am starting to write the recipes for python
3.6 ?. Can I know the procedure to create Python 3.6 recipe ?. If there
have any been any effort made to create the recipe for python 3.6 can
anyone share me that link?

Any help with respect to the above questions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks
