RE: [Zappa-List] Re: VO: Uncle Meat, Video From Hell 200 Motels True Story (3 DVD) NTSC

2006-05-21 Thread marcomat
Hi tom,
If nobody from the US (because you do live in the US, do you?) shows up, I
can make a second shipment - although I think Chris comes before you in the
vine-list (Chris already sent me his address two months ago).
I'll wait a couple of days.

All the best
mm

Hello all, I've tried to get in touch with Mike Wilcox -
USA[EMAIL PROTECTED] and asked if he ever received this
vine and he has not replied. Would any kind soul be willing
to restart this one? I am not next in line but have been
waiting, hoping and dreaming of this one since November.
 Someone please help.
Thanks to all for you time. -Tom

  Hi forbin!
I haven't heard anything from Mike; he should have received the
 vine, since
usually it takes 14 days max for an envelope to cross the ocean...
I've tracked the Italian leg of the shipment

 .php?mp
  code=RR366378255ITmpdate=27%2F03%2F2006) and the packet left
 Italy the day
after I went to the Post Office.

 an update on
   this vine.

Hi there!

Mike finally showed up and the vine is travelling to the US
 via
   registered
mail (too many failed deliveries in the Land Of The Free in
 the
   past! ;-) -
Hope this will help)
Thanks to Chris for his quick response.

Cheers

Looks like Conehead-BE is next...Do I use the usual

   Thanks.

  Details:

   Uncle Meat.
 ===

 Songs include:
The Uncle Meat Variations, Dog Breath, In The Year
 Of The
   Plague,
Mr.
GreenGenes, Holiday In Berlin Full-Blown, Mother
 People,
   I'm
   Not
Satisfied,Tengo Na Minchia Tanta (Written by Frank
 Zappa
   and
   Massimo
 Bassoli)

The was movie started in 67 with the original
 Mothers of
   Invention.
Finished in88 or 89 and released on videotape. The
 movie
   has
basically
 2 parts to it.
One is based on the live concert footage of the
 Mothers
   plus
   a small
orchestra in the London Festival Hall in 68. This
   footage is
   based
on
the story of members of the band quitting to start
 their
   own
   band
eitherbecause they want a band of all disciplined
 music
   or
   they want
to escape from under Zappa's shadow and play real
 rock
   and
   roll. The
remainder of the movie is made up of Dom DeWild (Don
   Preston)
pretending to be a Jeckyl and Hyde sort. Really
 wierd.
   There
   are
also
some videos of the band for the songs Mr. Green
 Genes and
   Holiday in
Berlin (from Burnt Weenie Sandwich). The concert
 footage
   is
   good and
the videos are fun, but the rest is just plain
 bizzare.

[Zappa-List] Vogue Theater,Indianapolis 22/8/84 late UK bp offer

2006-05-21 Thread Glen Young
Just d/l this from Zappateers tracker where you can find full info in the FZ
shows section.

Nice audience sound with a couple of patches to make the show complete.

I'm right out of blanks at the moment so can't offer a vine but if anyone in
the UK would like to bp for this then please get in touch off list.
Of course if you then want to vine it please feel free.

The list seems to be very quiet at the moment.

Glen in Bristol,England.
